08 Jun-30 Jun

This is the third exhibition at Philadelphia Street for Clifton Fine Art, a gallery specialising in contemporary art from the South West of England. Following a successful month here in June, we are pleased to offer an even wider collection of artists who are inspired by the architecture and landscape of Bristol and the surrounding area.

A wide selection of prints, cards and artist’s books will also be available.

Tom White: A new series of Bristol paintings once again focussing on the less iconic but immensely charismatic corners of the city.

Harriet Whyatt: A new series of work which again draws on her fascination with marginal groups, such as the Romany Gypsies; preferring to focus on the romanticism, sense of tradition and pride rather than the harsh realities.

Colin Vincent: This latest series of still lifes include some of his characteristic paintings of dolls. Posing Action Men, Sindys and Barbies together, he creates curiously voyeuristic scenes of dolls interacting, using a hyper-realistic style making the viewer feel as if they are catching a private moment.

Hugh Childs: Clevedon artist Hugh Childs brings his unique vision of the architecture and landscape around Bristol to life in monochrome, using mixed media including graphite, turps and collage.
